Who We Are

We are a collection of AntiWar Groups and individuals on the Queens College, CUNY campus and have created this site to post information and ideas to further our Anti-war agenda. We are opposed to the escalation in Afghanistan as well as the continuing war in Iraq. We are also committed to furthering a just peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. We welcome submissions dealing with information on anti-war events taking place on the campus, antiwar events taking place in NYC, commentary on how to build a strong and united antiwar movement, world events and their impact on QC students, etc.

Ilan Pappe's book: The Ethnic Cleansing of the Palestinians

I am reading "The Ethnic Cleansing of the Palestinians," by Ilan Pappe. He is a historian who was forced to leave Israel and has written a very important book (which is now in paperback) that details the systematic expulsion of the Palestinians often accompanied by massacres starting before the UN Mandate ended in 1948. I feel one cannot really understand the current conflict without understanding this history. One can sample Pappe's views in a lecture he gave recently see: Pappe video
